Pupils of the Perm School of Arts named after D. B. Kabalevsky became winners of the International Vocal Competition

The exemplary children's group "Blagovest" and the soloist of the Children's School of Arts named after D. B. Kabalevsky Ekaterina Fedoseeva became the winners of the IV International Vocal and Choral Competition "Zhavoronok". The big singing festival was held in the city of Cheboksary, about 2 thousand performers took part in it.
The competition performances were assessed by leading figures of culture, art and education of Russia. The chairman of the jury was Sergey Ekimov - composer, conductor, dean of the faculty of composition and conducting of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory named after N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov.
- The choir "Blagovest" under the direction of Oksana Leonidovna Evdokimova is the pride of our school. Every year, participating in the most prestigious vocal competitions, "Blagovest" brings the highest awards! Last year, the group received a Gold Diploma at the All-Russian competition in Yekaterinburg, this spring became the winner of the Grand Prix at the significant International creative competition. By winning rating competitions, the team worthily represents not only the D. B. Kabalevsky Children's Art School, but also the city of Perm in the Russian and international cultural space, - noted the school's director Olga Lozovan.
It should be noted that the municipal D. B. Kabalevsky Children's Art School was founded in 1986. Its students regularly win prizes in competitions of various levels, and teachers create an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding in the teams. Moreover, the school has opened the first children's museum in the Perm region, where you can see antique items that accompanied Dmitry Kabalevsky, the composer after whom the school is named, manuscripts of his works, photographs and books.
